Pizza Artista is a Cajun seafood concept that has opened its first shop in the Houston area right here in the Woodlands. Known for bold flavors and Louisiana-influenced ingredients, Pizza Artista offers 10″ personal pizzas, calzones, bread bowls, and other options for hungry guests.
Cajun flavors are the thing at Pizza Artista. Conventional ingredients are of course available, but the menu goes deep with boudin, tasso, crawfish, and other Cajun favorites.
The new restaurant is very bright and airy, and features a mammoth beer wall and cooler in the middle of the dining room.
Guests order through the line (a la Freebirds or Mod Pizza) and the friendly and helpful staff builds each pizza before their eyes.
The result goes in to an open-flame deck oven, and comes out in moments.
We sampled the Classic Cajun, which is a meat lover’s pizza with a decidedly Louisiana spin. Cajun sausage, tasso combine with the more traditional pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon, and the result is a pie that is sure to satisfy any meat lover.
Folks in the Woodlands love pizza. They also love Cajun food. Pizza Artista uniquely combines both; we think they are a great addition to the local food scene.
