The Woodlands has so many burger options, and we were craving one of our favorites, the Smoke at Fielding’s Wood Grill. This superb handcrafted burger combines a patty made of locally sourced 44 Farms ground angus, bacon, farm egg, aged Italian provolone, oven roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, truffle bacon mustard, lettuce, all built on a milk bun. The high quality beef and the aged provolone balance beautifully, and the grilled onions and oven roasted tomatoes provide a subtle, elegant counterpoint.
No burger is complete without sides, and we of course chose the excellent truffle fries and the addictive Oriental Sesame Green beans. (See, we can do healthy!)
With all the burger options popping up in the Woodlands, it’s easy to overlook our long-time favorites. Fielding’s Wood Grill is one of those restaurants that makes the Woodlands the Woodlands; we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
