Noe’s Cafe: Breakfast, Lunch, and Brunch in Spring

Noe’s Cafe is a small, family-run coffee house located on Spring-Steubner near Holzwarth Road. The cafe specializes in scratch made breakfast, lunch, and brunch dishes. Adam Gorelick, the creative mind behind the much-heralded Charm Thai Bistro (located across the street) has created a scratch menu with well executed breakfast and lunch favorites.

On our recent visit, we sampled a variety of their breakfast options. Waffles are definitely a thing at Noe’s, and their version is light, fluffy, and can be topped with your choice of creative accoutrements. Our favorite was the lush Bananas Foster Waffle, with perfectly cooked banana, walnuts, and the indulgent rum/caramel sauce. We were also taken by the Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon; a beautifully balanced creation of an overeasy egg, slices of salty, smoky salmon, chunks of avocado, atop a grainy slab of Kraftsman Baking toast.

The Breakfast Croissant Sandwich is a light, easy-to-eat option that’s perfect for the diner on the go. A beautiful Kraftsman Baking croissant is split and filled with scrambled eggs, cheddar, and bacon (ham is also available). Waffle lovers who can’t decide can check out the new Waffle Flight, featuring a Bananas Foster, a Strawberry Nutella, and a Blueberry waffle. This sharable dish is the perfect way for a group to start their brunch at Noe.

Of course, there’s more than breakfast items at Noe’s. Warm beverages are a specialty; we really enjoyed their beautifully presented Chai Latte, spicy and flavorful. It’s an outstanding-family-run option that beats out the big coffee chains in both flavor and value.

An intriguing option from the savory side of the menu was the simply named Buffalo Chicken Fries. These hand-cut, hand breaded strips of white meat chicken are deep fried and topped with Adam’s delicious buffalo sauce, then piled atop a mountain of french fries, cheese curds, and a creamy sauce.

Noe’s Cafe serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with extended hours on weekends.
