The iconic Houston dessert spot Dessert Gallery has announced that they’re expanding to the Woodlands. They will be setting up shop at 25 Waterway Ave., the troubled location that was most recently Nestle Tollhouse Cafe.
We have said for years that the Woodlands is ripe for a dessert spot where diners can pop in for sweets and coffee. Dessert Gallery has been filling this role in Houston for decades; we can’t wait to see how they bring their concept to the Woodlands.

About Dessert Gallery
Dessert Gallery was founded by Sara Brook. “What can I say? I have loved desserts since the day I was born,” confesses the fifth-generation Houstonian and the youngest of three children. “I have always had a passion for baking. I even have a special anniversary edition Easy Bake Oven in my office! My fondest childhood memory is as a 4-year-old in preschool, taking turns mixing cake batter in class. After nearly 40 years in business, I still love looking at pictures of desserts and coming up with new recipes.”
In 1995, Brook founded the now iconic dessert company with her 4-year-old daughter, Jennifer at her side: Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe, Houston’s premier dessert bakery. Since opening, Dessert Gallery has consistently been recognized for Best Desserts in Houston by a wide variety of publications. In 2001, Brook received the prestigious Award for Culinary Excellence as Pastry Chef of the Year from My Table ~ Houston’s Dining Magazine. In 2011, Sara was one of 18 national finalists for the ABC News Nightline People’s Platelist Award. In 2017, she graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program. And in 2019, Brook was chosen as the Houston Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Honoree. Today, Dessert Gallery is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the City of Houston, the State of Texas and the WBEA (Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance.)
