Portillo’s, the Chicago classic for hot dogs, Italian beef, and other Windy City classics, has announced the opening of a location in The Colony, Texas. The Colony is a Dallas suburb located about four hours north of the Woodlands.
The grand opening in The Colony, TX will be on Wednesday, January 18th at 4560 Destination Dr. Ribbon cutting is at 10am. Doors open at 10:30am.
Portillo’s has been serving their iconic street food to hungry Chicagoans since 1963. when Dick Portillo invested $1,100 into a small trailer to open the first Portillo’s hot dog stand in Villa Park, IL, which he called “The Dog House.”
