Market Street is undergoing a renaissance as of late, and the newest contributor is The Audrey. Located in the space vacated by the movie theater, the Audrey will join Reel Luxury Cinemas as the latest destination for the nightlife crowd.
This stylish, modern restaurant will focus on contemporary American cuisine. Offerings include seafood, meats, and pasta, several of which are prepared tableside. Lunch, dinner, and brunch will be served. The de rigeur seafood tower will be available, of course.
Brunch looks to be a decidedly upscale affair, with plates starting at $18 and going up. A full list of brunch cocktails will let guests get their booze on as they start their day.
Dinner hits hard, with a varied raw bar and a seafood and steak-laden menu that hits all the upscale favorites, but sidesteps current menu trends. Beef isn’t called out by brand or as prime, for example, and prices are a notch below the top in the Woodlands. Surprisingly, there is a kids’ menu, with a greatest hits list of favorites from the Class of 2032, all priced at $12. Desserts are what you’d expect in this setting, although they missed the chance for tableside glam by bypassing Bananas Foster.
Lunch looks like a slightly trimmed down version of dinner, with a more casual menu that includes a couple of burgers (also available at dinner.)
The vibe of the restaurant endeavors to recreate the 1960’s Hollywood glitz and glam. An extensive wine list and slate of craft cocktails will provide upscale libations that will keep the party going.
We look forward to checking out the Audrey. It’s promising to be quite a scene.
